Through the COVID-19 pandemic, McKinley Health Center's Special Populations Student Health Concerns Committee developed numerous programs to ensure that student wellbeing was supported along with continuing to raise awareness for health issues affecting underserved populations. 

 

Some of the events hosted through the pandemic are: 

• Mobile HRCs (Health Resource Centers) at various cultural houses 

• Illini Union Health Resource Center 

• Collaborations with cultural houses to raise awareness for health disparities 

• Alcohol Awareness 2020: 'Think Before You Drink'

• Wellness During COVID-19 (Fall 2020 and Spring 2021) 

• Black History Month 

• Lunar New Year 

• Social Media Health Awareness programs 

• Expo 22 and Beyond
